EMPLOYMENT

1966 to 1985

Linda held a variety of part-time and full-time secretarial positions, beginning with college breaks. Her positions were progressively more responsible and required her to learn many new skills and competencies. She held long-term positions in industries including electronic technology, photographic technology, medical imaging product development, estate planning, corporate legal services, and medical malpractice, personal injury and business litigation. During the early 1980s Linda owned her own business, Dalin Services, Inc., a paralegal and word processing service specializing in legal secretarial and paralegal services for sole practitioners. The business also found popularity with legal investigators.
Linda worked with James A. Robertson, CPCU, ARM in several different capacities between February 1985 and April 2008.

February 1985 to April 1987

Secretary/Office Manager for Insurance Litigation Consultants aka James A. Roberton and Assoc. and Professional Insurance Publications

Linda was responsible for all aspects of running a small office with a single professional. Handled day-to-day bookkeeping, billing, correspondence, word processing, filing, banking, and anything else that needed to be done.

April 1987 to May 1992

Coopers & Lybrand, Newport Beach, CA

Began as Litigation Specialist and ended employment as Associate Consultant in the Insurance Litigation Group.

Supervised maintenance of the Litigation Research Library and all client documents for the practice group. Worked closely with James A. Robertson and other senior consultants, reviewing client documents, preparing trial exhibits, researching legal issues, and ongoing engagement administration.

May through December 1992

Worked as an independent consultant on litigation engagements while Mr. Robertson prepared to open a new litigation consulting and risk management firm.

January 1993 through April 2000

Risk Management and Litigation Consultant for Interisk Limited, Newport Beach, CA

Duties included a variety of consulting assignments on litigation engagements, full responsibility for the insurance reference library, and oversight of training new employees. Trained one employee to assume most responsibility for the library and to master the basics of document management and research support for litigation consulting.

May 2000 through December 2004

Telecommuted from home, continuing to do consulting work and other assignments. Designed and maintained the firm's initial web site which stayed in place for four years.

January 2005 through April 2008

Returned to in-office consulting and after two months assumed newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

Handled administrative details of the business, day-to-day bookkeeping, and a variety of personal and business details, freeing Mr. Robertson to spend more time on client engagements.

May 2008 to present

Principal of Life Coaching for Christians

Provides life and small business coaching from a Biblical viewpoint. Also moderates numerous forums for Christians who have experienced or are currently experiencing difficulties personally or within their families. Most of the forums deal with problems that most church people are reluctant to discuss openly because 'these things don't happen to good Christians.'

EDUCATION

Graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, OK

Completed paralegal certificate program at El Camino College in Torrance, CA

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) earned from the American Institute of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, Malvern, PA. (Equivalent to 30 hours of college credits. Earned by passing ten 3-hour essay examinations)

Associate in Risk Management (ARM) earned from the American Insurance Institute, Malvern, PA. (Equivalent to 9 hours of upper division college credits. Earned by passing three 3-hour essay examinations).

Associate in Underwriting (AU) earned from the American Insurance Institute, Malvern, PA. (Equivalent to 12 hours of college credits. Earned by passing four 3-hour essay examinations).

Associate in ReInsurance (ARe) earned from the American Insurance Institute, Malvern, PA. (Equivalent to 6 hours of college credits. Earned by passing two 3-hour essay examinations.)
